SurfTrackr Tips: Driving Directions

Adding your surfing locations to SurfTrackr and setting their position on the map will allow you to easily get driving (or walking/transit) directions from wherever you are to a surf spot using either Apple Maps or Google Maps.

Set the Position of the Surf Break

Firstly, if you haven’t already done so, set the position of the surf break on the map by editing the location and using either the search or long pressing on the map until the icon appears; SurfTrackr will now be able to automatically retrieve more information about the location (as well as load the weather for sessions at this break for SurfTrackr Pro users). You can fine-tune the position of the break by touching the location icon until it increases in size and then moving it to the correct position.

Send the Surf Break to Apple or Google Maps

To get directions, open the location details screen, tap the share icon at the top left and choose “Directions using Apple Maps” or alternatively if you have the Google Maps app installed you can choose “Directions using Google Maps”. This will open the maps app to the location and allow driving directions and navigation right to the surf spot where possible.

SurfTrackr is available on the App Store.
