After an ugly incident involving someone attempting to use a modified version of Invasion Anarchy for marketing their C64-based magazine, we've decided to pause our Commodore 64 development for the moment and shift focus to other platforms.
After wrapping up our 4k game "Skiddy", I took a break from C64 development for a while and began converting my game code to 68000 assembly with the intention of creating an Amiga version of Freaky Fish. Though an Amiga port remains a possibility with some preliminary work already done, the graphics requirements are pretty demanding including a huge number of fish animation frames :). While getting to grips with some aspects of Amiga development that I have never done (audio and disk access), I'm planning to start with something less graphic-intensive.
Meanwhile, if you're thinking about Commodore 64 development and want to protect your work from exploitation, I'd recommend putting a nominal price on any games you release - the Commodore 64 community in particular seems to mistake "free download" for "public domain".
